Easy, DIY tie-dye shirt

 I will show you a step-by-step process, of how to tie die a tee shirt at home the easy way. We are going to do this a little bit differently than the traditional tie-dye method. So if your ready and up for a little artistic challenge, follow along with me!

_shirt

_spray bottles

_paint or fabric paint

_ rubber bands?

Step 1.  Get a shirt, ti tie-dye.

Step 2.  You will need some paints of your color choice. I recommend fabric paints for optimal distribution and wear.

Step 3.  You will need some spray bottles, to put the paint in. Fill the bottle 1/5 full of paint. One color in each bottle

Step 4.  Fill the rest of the bottle with water.

Step 5. put the caps on and shake,shake,shake. make sure the paint is all mixed in. 

Step 6. hang your shirt somewhere outside, (trust me if you don't want a mess you can't skip this step).

Step 7. twist the shirt and tie it with a rubber band, this will give you a spiral effect. (this is an optional step)

step 8. Spray the shirt front till you are satisfied with it.

Step 9. repeat steps eight and nine on back.

Step 10. Hang it somewhere and let it dry for 48 hours (indoors or out) before washing. 

Tip: The closer the spray bottle is the more concentrated it will be, the farther back it is it finer mist.

Dog Stairs or Ramp? Why and What I Got.

Does my dog need help up on the bed? Do I need a ramp or stairs?  I have a wiener dog, I got steps for her. They help her to get up on my high bed. I don't like her jumping and she loves to get up and snuggle in. If you have any small, injured or elderly dog it is a good idea not to have them jumping. You might want to get a ramp or stairs to assist them. But what do you get? A ramp or stairs? Well.... I got stairs, it is optimally up to you but here are my thoughts on it.

   If your dog has had a prior injury or elderly I would go with a ramp. If you live in a one-level home and the dog has never experienced stairs I would lean towards a ramp, it could be less daunting for the dog. If your dog is perfectly mobile and had experienced stairs I would lean toward stairs.

   If you have a dachshund many people say stairs are bad they should not go up and downstairs at all. We have stairs in our house. I'm not going to be able to stop her from going up and down.  Personally, I don't think stairs are that big of a deal. I worry more about her whipping around corners. But just like a person, you can only protect them so much. And their dogs they don't understand. There will probably be a little training with whatever you go with. I went with the stairs because we already have stairs in our house, and it is much better for her than jumping.

How to Keep Yourself and Others safe and Well , What to Do When Your Stuck at Home.

To answer your first question.....Is coronavirus (COVID 19) serious? yes. It is very serious. If you get it it can be very bad or detrimental. Any sickness is serious. Maybe you think a cold is just a cold. The flu is no big deal. It is not for most people but any sickness can be very serious for anyone. But especially the elderly and the ones that have underlying health problems. I am one of those people. looking at me I look perfectly healthy. But if I get sick it can be very bad for me.

Do you know how many people die from the flew each year? 30,000 people on average. Think about, and that's only the flu. Don't go out unless you absolutely must. You could get it and die worse yet someone you love could. 

How to Stay Well all Year long

Are you always getting sick, whether it be the cold or flu or maybe just a mild sniffle? Are you tired of it? It is still annoying. Am I right? Know one wants to be sick. 

Well, I have a few simple ways to help you stay well. Are you ready?

1. Wash your hands

It seems simple. But it is easy to forget. 

Always wash your hands before meals. And also when you get home from outings. Shoes, shopping carts, doorknobs and much more are often covered in germs.

2. Cleanser

If you can't get to a sink you can use hand wash or hand wipes

Do you have a unruly dog? My dachshund was, she would bark and bark outside all the time. It was annoying and embarrassing. In a short time 90% of the issue are solved.

Do know how? it sounds like the hokiest thing, something that you would say "that would never work".  But it did for me.
#1"Walking on a leash."
Ok Ok, I know how it sound but stick with me. Most people don't walk there dog properly I know I didn't.

I did not use a slip lead I just used my dogs collar. But the most important thing in my opinion is keeping the dog next to you.And keaping calm because the dog can tell and get's exited from your energy.

#2 thing to do is "not let the dog" out the door before you. That way your dog will know you are the leader.

#3 "Find a trigger" What if your dog does bark? you need to find somethings to snap them out of  the mindset of "bark". Weather that be a noise or something else. But then you need to make sure to go to them and calm them all the way down.

What to Use to Brush your Dogs Teeth

It is important to brush your dogs teeth. You can go to a vet and have them sedated, to clean there teeth. But that costs a fortune! And some dogs it is not good for them to be sedated (like my dog because she is Epileptic.)You can give them tarter cleaning treats. But you need to brush there teeth too.

What kind of tooth brush should you use? If it's a big dog you can use a long handled tooth brush. For my (small dachshund) dog I use a finger brush. You can also get rubberized toys that have bristles like a toothbrush. And your dogs can chew on then and clean there teeth, you can smear a little peanut butter on it to get then interested.

How to Stay Warm in Winter

It's getting cold outside, at least wear I live. Is it cold there? Here are a few tips to stay warm this year.

For in the house slippers and fingerless mittens are good to keep you warm (my hands are always cold). A fire place will heat your house good.

It also helps if you put a short-sleeve shirt or even a tank-top over a long-sleeve shirt.

When you go outside you will want to bundle up. If it's not to cold a heavy duty jacket, and gloves too keep your hands warm, will do the job. Lined boots are nice too.

But if it's freezing you will need a hat too, if it has ear flaps too that's nice. If it's really cold you might even want too double-up your socks and mittens.

And don't forget about your animals. Especially small dogs, put a sweater on them to, if there going outside.

Teaching a Dog

I taught all of the basic commands first, come is a very important command.

Come: you need your dog to come right away when your dog is called in case it gets into a dangerous situation. for this one you kind of need 2 people you can do it with 1 but 2 is easier. With two people you will want one person to sit at one end of the room or yarn and one at the other. place the dog with one person. the other person needs to have some treats that person will call the dog and hold out the treat the dawn will come running to the person. in turn you will reward the dog with a treat and lots of pets and then the other person will call the dog back and do the same. you will keep repeating this process several times daily. With one person. you will want to have a Long Leash on your dog. And a treat in your hand. You will want to play the dunk in front of you and run back as quick as you can still facing the dog. And say catching him we can get on the saying Come As You Are. when the dog comes you give them the treat and several pets reward them heavily.

 Sit: To teach this command you will want to have treats again. making it fun for your pooch. You will want to raise the treat above your dog's head an. If the dog doesn't automatically sit you will want to gently push on the rump of your dog to make him sit.
Stay: You will want to put them on a leash again. stand in front of them holding the leash having treats in your hand. You will want to step back a few steps wait for a second, then go back to the dog and reward them with the treat and as your dog gets better with staying. you will want to make it farther back and staying there longer each time.

Lie down: put a treat in front of the dog's nose, as you lower it to the ground.  as you say "lie down". If needed put a hand on the dogs back and lightly push down.

Wait: this is a politeness manner. I a treat in front of their nose and tell them to wait. if they go for it tell them no and tap them on their side.

Leave it: To teach this you may want a leash, so you can control them more. get a threat and through it ways away. If your dog starts to go for it say "leave it" then "come". This is where the leash may come in handy. 

To teach the dog to walk next to you. You will want to put the dog on a leash, and walk the dog as normal. Do not pull the leash tight, let it be loose in your hand.
    walk the dog right next to you. If the dog starts to get too far away, give the leash a little jerk and bring him back. As soon as he is beside you again relax the leash.

Tricks
Now I started teaching some tricks.

Roll over: take a treat. Tell the dog to roll over. Pat at the floor on the opposite side you started on. Guide the dog if needed.

shake: put a treat in one hand, put your other hand in front of the dog. Tell him to "shake". If your pet doesn't get it right away. lift the pets paw and place it in your hand. then give the treat.

Now I know it sounds hokey too but it works. your adatood makes a different, in how your dog listens to you. 

you must be {to quote Cesar Millan}"calm and assertive". Stand up straight and be the leader.
We've taught our dogs that good enough, now we can control them pretty well. Dogs need boundaries if you don't give them that or seem weak they will become the leader.

How to Make a Snail House

Do you have a pet snail? I will sow you how to make a home for your it'll guy today.

You need to take a plastic box with a lid. You need to punch some wholes in the lid, you can use a drill for this (I didn't) I used a screwdriver to punch the wholes and then I used scissors and twisted them like a drill to get the extra plastic out and make it smooth.

Now you fill an inch or two with dirt. Put a put in so the snail can have some shade.

Now you need to feed your snail. I have fed him lettuce, watermelon, cucumber's and strawberry's.

I wipe out any muck (by that I mean poop) when needed. I clean the whole home and get new dirt about once a month. make sure to replace the food when needed too.

Caring for Triops (How I Did It)

Water Color Pencil Art

I thought I knew how to do water pencils. But I found out I did not! I thought you just color on the paper then put some water on it right? No!

I got a kit that teaches you how to use them. You have to add just the right amount of water, it is a real art. there is more than one tetchiness, you can draw then wet the color, you can wet the paper and draw on it or get the pencil wet and draw.

My kit that I got has a set of pencils that come with it, a pencil sharpener, several outlined drawing you can color in and step by step instructions for each one. 

About the Body

Our bodies have joints,muscles,and bones to help us step and relocate to new places.

The joints,muscles,and bones work together so we can relocate anywhere. Bones are

completely solid. Muscles are what will support us when we stand. Joints and bones meet

and that’s what makes your knee pivot. Muscles are like rubber bands. They stretch when

you extend your arm and release when you release your arm. The muscles which pull on

the bones help you stand and maneuver.

When you gorge food it goes into your digestion system and the food gets smaller and

smaller. You chew your food so you can swallow it easier so when you put it in

your mouth you keep chewing and chomping with your teeth.When you swallow it goes

into your  esophagus then into your stomach. Then the tiny pieces go into your

bloodstream. Then the waste goes through the very largely built intestine which then goes

to the anus.

 

How to Care for an elderly Dog, what they need and what to expect

I have a small black dog named Sadie; she is 14 that is really old for a dog! She sleeps in my bed every night. She is a great dog. Now that she is old she does not move around much. She basically eats, poops, and sleeps.

I will advise you on how to care for an old dog, what they may need and what to expect in old age. I will also tell you what I do to care for my old dog.  

Insects

Our planet has thousands of insects. They attack crops some bite animals even

people. But we need  insects. Some insects make honey for us to gorge on. Some graze

on  aphids off our plants in our garden so the plant don’t get sick. Crickets and frog gorge

on insects so we don’t get overwhelmed with insects. A cricket is an insect which has a

sort of loud chirp at night. Frogs have a gulp that’s very loud and big at night. And he can

jump very fast. Frogs must be fast because they are hunted by hawks. An ant is not big at

all, but ants are strong.They can dig very deeply into the ground. or carry big pieces of

bread.
