Book Review, "The Girl Who Looked Beyoned The Stares"

This is a great book! It has short chapters, which I am a fan of you can easily rea one maybe even two chapters at a time.  It is a good clean book. The main character sees angels, and she helps the angels and the angels help her. The Angels protect her family.

She finds out she may not be the only one the has the gift. Does she tell her family what she can see or will she be putting them in danger?

Midnight on the Moon book Review

I will give you an outline of Midnight on the Moon.

Chapter one Jack was sound asleep in his bed when his sister Annie came in and told him “wakeup”. They crept down the stairs and out the door, there friend Morgan was stuck in a spell and they had to find the last M thing to free him. They climbed up the magic tree house ladder. They picked up a book with a moon on it and said “we want to go there” the tree house spun it shook and then everything was silent and absolutely still.

Chapter two the tree house took them to a space dome on the moon! “Let’s go explore” said Annie, Jack pulled out a map to look at but Annie was gone!

Chapter three “Come on maybe the fourth M thing is out there” said Annie lets go find the suits, Jack pulled out the map but Annie was gone as usual. They found the suits; they put on boots, helmets, gloves, air tank and a lot more. They set out to look for the M thing but they only had two hours of air!

Chapter four they went outside they were walking on the moon and they were as light as a feather.

Chapter five There was a moon buggy they got in and Annie drove. They saw a flag with a note.

Chapter six There was an astronaut far away is he nice or mean they thought to themselves?

Chapter seven The astronaut came to see them he was nice he gave them a map of stars.

Chapter Eight They went back to the tree house to try to figure out what the map meant. They connected the dots on the map and Morgan appeared.

Chapter nine Morgan was the mouse all along.

Chapter Ten Morgan asked “are you ready to go home” Annie and Jack both said “yes”. They got in the tree house and pointed to a book of where they lived the tree house spun it shook and then everything was silent and absolutely still.

If you want to find out the rest of the story you will have to read it for yourself.

This book was written by Mary Pope Osborn

I loved this book and it was a very easy read (I read the whole book in one day and I have never been a very fast reader). If I were to judge this book on ratings on a scale from 1-5 I would give it a 4 for very good.

What I thoroughly enjoyed was…

1.     When they got to walk on the moon.
     2.     When they got to go home
    3. When they found out the astronaut was not mean

What I did not enjoy so much.
I really liked the whole book, but if i had to pick one thing
      it would be…

1.     The suspence of if they were going to run out of air or not, but I actualcy kind of liked that part too.

Review of Helen Keller book

This will give you an overall view of the book. At first Helen was a very happy little girl. But then she got very ill and when she got better, she was blind and deaf. Many doctors checked her but each one said the same thing there was no hope. Helen learned her own signs. A nod meant yes. A pull meant come. A push meant go away. pretty soon she knew more than 60 hand movements. She was doing very well. But then one day she got mad and she kept getting madder every day. Then Mr. Keller called Perkins Institute (school for the blind).

A teacher came to teach Helen, her name was Annie Sullivan. Annie Sullivan and Helen went away so Annie could teach her. Helen was learning well. She started to teach Helen to read. Helen wanted to learn to talk. The teacher hesitated she was not so certain that Helen could learn. When Helen learned to talk everyone was so amazed; she even got a boat named after her. Helen went to collage and graduated. After that she went to speak lectures all over the world, to talk about the deaf. Annie died on October 19, 1939 Helen got a new teacher Polly Thomson. Then Helen died on June 1, 1968. I hope this gave you a good overview of her story.
