The dresses you can get
now-a-days are ridiculous, I think. They are either low in the chest or short
in length, or both. Today I am going to teach you how to close up the chest of
a dress.
1. Find a piece of fabric that goes well with the dress.
2. Cut the fabric to a size that will fit inside the
dress, and will look nice. And will close up the opening to desired height, plus a
little to fold over to make a nice edge.
3. Fold the edge over, pin it, and sew, This will make a
nice straight edge.
4. Now turn the dress inside out, put the patch where you
want it and sew as close to the original seams as you can.
Now you have a nice new
repaired dress.
Tips
It is best to use a sewing
machine, but if one is not accessible for you to use you can hand sew it to.
When you sew the patch on
make sure not to sew the back to the front.
