How to make Mint Ice cubes, Sugar Free

Have you ever had mint water? Well, it is a simple but delicious drink. One of our long-time friend turned my mom on to it who then got me to try it. I licked it so much I put my own spin on it that I am sharing with you today. I hope you will follow along and make this quick, easy, and oh so delicious recipe. It's great for a hot summer day. They are called "Mint Ice Cubes". They will give any drink that refreshing pop it needs.

First, you want to pick some mint. Don't pick each leaf individually, it will make it harder to get them out of the water later. Cut the mint down to new growth, which will also help the plant produce new as you take the old off. Take two or three sticks of mint like that. Now that you have your mint you can move on to the next step. Get a pot of water out, and put it in medium heat on the stove. Let it get up to a boil, once it is up to a boil put your mint in, and let it go for one to three minutes. The water will probably turn green, that's ok, it's just taking on the mint flavor. The longer you let it go the more mint flavor it will get.

Now you want to take the mint out. There may be little pieces of mint left floating, if there is you will want to get a strainer and a glass container    (glass because it is going to be very hot, you don't want the plastic to melt).

Now you will want to let it cool. Once it is cool you can fill your ice cube trays. you want to fill each of your ice cubes in your tray half full with mint water. Then you want to get some regular water and fill the ice cubes, the rest of the way to the top. Put them in the freezer until they are frozen and pop them out. You will want to get a ziplock or any type of container you like to store them in the freezer.

                                                                 Here's a video to help.

Now when you want a cold drink you can pop a couple of your mint ice cubes into your drink. It is a fun and fast way to have a refreshing, cool, sugar-free, drink
