Toothpick fun

I made a house out of toothpicks. I used a cardboard piece as the base.I used Elmer's Glue at the base to glue it together, but then I used Hot Glue at the top. Because Elmer's Glue was not strong enough to hold it up wile it dried. Then mad a bed and a couch and two people too put in there. It took me tree weeks to do everything. I left the walls off so you can see in, except for it has walls in the front of the house. And a window I made out of Plastic Wrap.

My Rock polishing Adventure

Today I am going to tell you about how I polished my rocks. I do not have any photos in the process of doing it but I think these photos are very interesting I hope you will like them. It took a whole month to do this process and we had to put four different kinds of grit in to clean them. But when they came out all finished they where smooth and shiny.
Polishing the rocks is hard on them. When the rocks came out of the rock polisher there were quite a few pieces that had broken off the rocks. One of the rocks went into the rock tumbler about the size of a penny and came out smaller than a dime.

Each time we rinsed the tumbler out to put new grit in. The water was gross with the dirt off the rocks. And each time we changed out the grit, the lid was a mess. During the process the lid came off and rocks fell out all over the ground. But all- in- all it is worth it, the rocks came out shinny and smooth after running 24-hours a day and 7-days a week for a month.

These are not the rocks I polished but they are some rocks that are not polished so I hope they give you an idea what they looked like before polishing.

Face Paint

I like face paint do you? I got this face paint, I think it's fun. It has some gilder with it too. I am not very good at painting it on though. It has a small paint brush to apply it with.
Some people can make elaborate face paintings.
But even if it's not perfect you can have fun! Remember whatever you choose to do have fun.

I had a whole post written and then I deleted it be mistake.  I kept hitting undo, undo, undo! But it won't work!

so you get an in-promed-do post.

like when you have a paper due the next morning, you stayed up half the night working on it. and then something spilled all over it.

Now on top of that I can't spell anything right.

Hair Calk Review

Today I am going to review a product. this is a kit I got called hair chalk. I got it off of Amazon. Amazon is a very widely known Internet store. I had a gift card for there. My grandma always gives me gift cards for birthdays and Christmases, she does not like to shop for anything.

this product is nice if you like to color your hair but do not like the permanent effect of the coloring you might find at a salon.  or the idea of chemicals being put on your head and having it stink as they put it on comma I've never had hair coloring done but I've had people tell me it just stinks awfully bad.

I do like the idea of a little streak of coloring in your hair though. I it looks quite pretty. But I do not want it to be there all the time because some my mood changes or I want a different color. So if you're like me this is a great product for you. it goes on very nicely it is a  little messy if you get it on your hands or anything like that and do not get it on your clothes because it will not wash out, even though it washes out of your hair I found that out the hard way.

So anyway let's get started with  the thoughts on this product. I rambled on enough already, haven't I?

so this kit (Hair Chalk) Is a great product in my perspective. It is great for a middle-aged girl teenager to even a young adult. It comes with 5 colors I believe. and it also comes with some beads hair and a beading tool which is plastic and I will warn you it will break easy after use for a while or if pulled on hard. You can make a new one out of a paperclip or any wire even string, anything lying around. It comes with instructions to do both of the the hair chalk and the hair beading oh and it comes with (what's those things called duh I can't remember) rubber bands (okay hello what was I saying Again I remember okay) it comes with rubber bands that you can wrap around the piece of hair under the beads to keep them on but I have pretty think hair and I actually found you don't really need the rubber bands. You can use the rubber bands if you want to not, just try them see what works best for you. This kit came with pink purple blue orange and one other color of hair chalk. I like the pink and purple the best you can pick your favorite.

And when you put it in you can put it in one day and take when you take a shower at night it washes right out. So if your mood changes you just want to do it again for fun you want a different color sing like that. you can change it that's what I like about this product it isn't permanent. I do not like anything permanent. I a person who likes to change things even in my room I'm constantly trying to think of new stuff to make and to try.

I have a video here, of me using the product. you can watch the video if you would like to see how it works.

Watter Weenie

I had a water weenie when I was a little girl. A water weenie is a tube folded over on it self filed with water. I got another one for my birthday recently. I got several presents but that was one of my most favorite one's. something so simple can be so fun! It is a temporary toy sometimes though. after about three months of playing with it, it broke and splashed water all over me!

Craft Disaster, Two button Bowl

I like making things. I had seen a photo of a bowl made out of buttons. It did not have very good instructions. I thought I could make it  by myself.

So I blew up a balloon, put glue all over it and started putting buttons on. I thought that will work right? And then pop the balloon at the end when all the glue is dry. WRONG!

All the button's ended up falling off. I had a huge mess. And ended up with a clear floppy bowl, made of glue. With two button's on it.

having Fun with a Projecter

This is a projector. You can draw pictures on it and turn it on, walla you see your picture where ever you shine it. You can stand it up and shine it on the ceiling. But I find you can see the picture a lot better if you put it on it's side.

You can draw what ever you want. It is quite fun!

May, 16 2014

Today was a relief in weather after the 80s and 90s, we had been having the last three days. It was cooler today the high is 73. So since it was cool and quite nice, my mom went outside and transplanted some of our plant starts, that we had in plastic pots into our garden.

My brother and I went outside to play too. We had squirt guns and chalk to play with. We also played with some cloud dough, we had made a long time ago.

Escape Artiest

Now the ladybug has escaped again! I am panicking, thoughts race though my head. Did it get out safe? Is it still in the house? Will I be able to find it? I Looked and looked and I could not find it. It was time for me to do school (I am home-schooled.) I gave up and said I’m not going to find it.

A hour or two later I was up in my room thinking if I had only put that lid on tighter…and I heard a quiet banging noise in my window.  It was the ladybug! It was banging itself against the window. I had found Turbo! (If you don’t remember or haven’t been following the whole series, Turbo is the name my brother gave the ladybug)

Since it was a warm day, I decided that I should let the ladybug go. Since it obviously wanted out! My mom and I went outside to let it free. It flew off into the world, and was free again!

That is the end of Ladybug Rescue Series. I hope you followed along the way. And I hope you had as much fun reading the stories, as I did caring for it. If you’re thinking you missed out on the thrill on caring for it, just remember reading is a lot less work than caring for it.

Billy got teribly Sick, Story

This is a story I wrote for my school. So some of the words are underlined because those are the type of words I was required to have in the story. like: easily is a (LY) word and jumped is a descriptive word.

Fist I will introduce ourselves. I am Billy; I am 14 years old I consider

Myself joyous. I have a step mom her name is margarine, she is a bit cranky.

Then there is my dad he is nice but easily-upset. There is also Suzy she is

very nice (which we will meet her later.) One day I got an illness the cat-flue

to be precise, I went to the hospital this all occurred on October 19, 2001.

The day I got better I was so happy I jumped in the air.

The doctors said I was well enough to go home. I did not want to go

home because my stepmother never loved me I was sure that she would love

me less now. So instead of going home I found a lady that helps people in

need named Suzy, I went to her and she helped me though my hard times.

Suzy even though my family was unwelcoming, they never came to visit and

declined it when they were welcomed.

Home Made stuffed Aminals

I had two haan crafts, stuffed animal kits (a dog and a Bunny.) siting up in  my closet for years because I though they would be hard. One day I decided to do one and I found out it was quit fun and not to hard either. I made the Bunny for myself, and I love it. A couple weeks latter I decided to do the dog. That one went to my brother.

Ladybug Update

The lady bug is doing good. It seems to be happy. I feed it every day and give it about three drops of water. It does not move around much. But that’s good, so it does not fly away when I open it’s habitat.

I will update again soon!

Silly Ladybug

One day I got up, got ready for my day. After I was all ready for my day and had fed our two dogs and cat, I got the ladybug out to feed. To my surprise the ladybug was gone. I was panicking for the ladybug, she/he was out in the house with no food it could probably find water but it had absolutely no food! I was looking all over. I could not find it. I just hoped it had gotten out the way it came in. then I found it! It was gone for about a half a day. I put it back in the habitat. It seemed happy to be in the habitat again.

I will update again soon!

Setting up the Habitat

I rescued a ladybug, that had come in our home. I caught the ladybug in my bug catcher, but it was way to cold to release the ladybug.

I made a habitat for it. If you find a ladybug, and want to make one here is the website I found the instructions at http://www.wikihow.com/Take-Care-of-Your-Own-Ladybug . I found a container and put all the suggested things that were on the website, in it. You will need to feed it every day, or when the food runs out. You will also need to change out anything that is wilted, like leaves or lettuce (which is one of the suggested foods.) Once a week you will probably have to take everything out and wash the container, because well…..the poop will build up (yes I said it POOP!)  for all of you that didn’t know small creatures pooped (because there was a time in my life that I thought that) they do poop. When you wash the container out have a small jar or something to put the ladybug in. Always put a piece of fabric on the top of the container with a rubber band around it (because there are tiny holes in the fabric that the human eye can not see, but it lets enough air in so the bug can breath, but it can’t get out)

The ladybug is doing very good. I think he/she likes its new habitat. My brother has already named it ….Turbo.

Entry to, Ladybug Rescue

I rescued a ladybug, which was in our bathroom. I caught it in a bug catcher, but it was way to cold for it to go outside. So I am going to keep it in a container until it is warm enough for it to go outside. I will update on how it is doing every other week or so. As soon as I start my updates, the links to them will be on this page.

COLDDD!!!!!

It is bone chilling cold today! It is fluctuating between 21 and 22 degrees. I heard that it’s suppose to get up to 27 degrees today (still very cold.) last night on the news I herd there was a wind chill of 3 degrees.

We have a fire, our dogs are laying in front of it. It keeps snowing off and on. I like snow, I wish it would snow more.

It’s really windy too! My mom has a mini green house for her plants, that sits on the ground, about 5 feet by 3 feet. It was so windy last night that her green house blew over, fortunately there was no plants in it.

SNOW!!!!

The weather was a frigidly cold at only 25 degrees this morning. It is only supposed get up to 31 today.
We only got a dusting of snow, but that didn't stop the squirrels from coming out.

We have a fountain and it almost stopped flowing from the ice. My mom went out and broke the ice up with-in an hour it was frozen again.  Later we got more snow. Still the most we got is an inch.

Glowing Balls

My brother and I got these super cool balls. They glow in the dark when you charge them under a light! My brother bounces them all over the house. Our cat even likes to play with them sometimes. Plus they look like eye-balls too which is cool, the glowing part is what I like best though.
